Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure all the menus, rooming list and all event information are entered into the system a minimum of 14 days prior to an event
- To conduct Resort Site inspections
- To create profiles for all New Contacts/Companies in Opera, and update Existing profiles where required
- To develop and maintain relationships with new & existing clients
- To work with Sales Manager on building new corporate accounts and creating Key Account Managers
- To ensure weekly function sheet & forecasting reports are issued to the resort every Wednesday afternoon
- To ensure weekly Resort Pre-Con is hosted by a member of the Events team weekly
- To ensure weekly Site Inspections are communicated timely to Resort Operations
- To ensure the Enquiries, Business Won & Business Lost is sent out daily and accurate for all reservations
- To update Enquiries, Business Won & Business Lost daily and chasing business
- To liaise with Executive Chef regarding seasonal menu requirements, formatting and saving to the Sales Drive
- To in-put menus into Opera
- To liaise with Sommeliers re updates on the wine list & updating Opera
- To compile a Catering Calendar of Events
- To produce productions weekly reports to account for lost and regretted business with feedback on reasons
- To ensure effective transfer of potential sales leads to relevant Salesperson
Qualifications:
- Experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury or 5-star hotel.
- Proven track record of successfully converting leads into confirmed bookings.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
